So, here's the foot update: it's NOT broken! Yea!!! The doctor said that I must be drinking my milk (which I totally do). But, there is a contusion. So, I've had to lie around the house this weekend with my foot propped up. My lovely parents came and helped me out yesterday. It was great because navigating those stairs has been difficult, especially if I'm lugging around the little one!
So, today I've been taking it easy. My friend and I went shopping in the morning, cause I was feeling better, but we quickly realized that was a mistake! :O
My van's battery died today. We've had a string of breakdowns this summer and we're ready for a new car! We're hoping to make it a couple more months, but by the end of this year I will be driving either this.
Or this. So, it's between the Mazda CX-9 or the Honda Pilot. The girls vote for the Pilot, because apparently the Mazda's wheels look silly. Which one do you think?

I have to say I love the Mazda, it looks like a way more expensive car than it actually is. The Honda looks pretty utilitarian but after all it's not called a sport utility for nothing. I love my Honda Odessey which is apparently on the same "platform"??? as the Pilot, I just wish it could be a little more stylish is all..KWIM?
PS, I am glad to hear about your foot, take it easy!
Wow, I hadn't seen that Mazda. It looks GREAT! Depending on it's features, I'd go for that. It's cool and different.
I'm glad your foot isn't broken! I'm sorry about the van. My parents have a Pilot and it's really nice, I love it. However, I really, really like the Mazda. It's so pretty. ;)
I'm glad your foot isn't broken. The positive side is at least you can lay around the house guilt free!! I love both cars. They both look like fun. I would go for the one that has better features.
They both look great! I am with Megan- pick the one with the best features. I am in the same boat- we need a new car - we need more space.
I have trouble with the smaller SUV's because they seem like they have NO trunk space. How do you go on a long trip, Rochelle- in your car- it's so nice but where do you put all the suitcases? I worry about a double stroller fitting into something like a Pilot?!
Tons of room, actually. We take it home every summer with all four kids and all of our luggage inside the car (no luggage rack). I love smaller SUV's. I could never deal with a big tank.
Sorry to hear about your foot. WIth Enrichment on the horizone I have been neglecting my blog-jogging.
I like both cars, but going on look alone, I chose the Mazda. I agree with Megan, go for the car that has the better features. But hey, you get a new car!! How fun is that!
Just linked over to you from Michelle. I heard that the Pilot's get some of of best gas mileage of all SUV's. I think that sounds pretty good considering gas prices!
