Did You Have a Pleasant Trip?

Why, yes, yes I did. Thank you for asking. Portland was gorgeous, as always, and my sister just plain rocks. I really wish that we lived closer together, but neither of us is willing to move to where the other lives. So, we're destined to only see each other after paying for an expensive plane ticket and arranging people to watch our kids.

We went to the Tulip Festival:

And saw strange things. Oh, and alot of tulips.

This is my sister's cute house:

Her camelia bush next to her driveway is to-die-for. This pictures does NOT do it justice.

She has all these secret pathways and benches and things. It's just so lovely.

This year, I went a little bit earlier than I have for the past few years, so I think that I was a little early for all the spring glory. But, it was a blast, and I came home to kids that appreciated me all the more. What a great welcome home present!

You look so much alike! I know which one is you, but I had to do a double take. Looks like a lovely trip. What a beautiful yard she has!

That is such a beautiful picture of you and your sister. (I almost mentioned her name - oooh that was close.) ;)

I can't even imagine living amongst such lush plants and flowers - it's beautiful!! Lucky girl.

I'm so glad you posted a few pics, I knew you had a great time but I really was wanting more details.

Wait. Hold everything. You came to Portland and you didn't call me? Ok. And I thought we were friends. :-)

Just kidding, I love the tulip festival. I haven't been for a few years (about the time I remember to go the season has past! oops!)

Happy week,
Melissa
